  2. On 21/5/2013 I applied for a Data Entry Work from Home job, I paid £20 as a one off fee to join and to receive the training pack. After constantly sending them emails regarding the training pack, I got 15 emails from a Russell James and 3 from a Mark Springett saying I would receive my training pack within days. The date is now 23/12/ 2013 and still have not received anything. I want to let people know this is a scam and not to fall for it like I have.

  3. I feel like a div but I fell for this too! You’re not alone. Around 60/70 emails between Mark Springett, Russell James & Gerald Bailey (expect all the same person).
Been emailing them 2/3 times a day for a week to get my money back & will continue to do so until Ive been refunded

    • I doubt you will get your money back as I now think they have changed their Businesslink on- line details. I have noticed on the Data Entry Work From Home Website that it is under a different name. They are still advertising from Woodgreen.
I tried to reply saying they are Fraud but to get through you have to send your CV and I am not doing that again. You probably wont hear from them again.
Once they have got your money they are laughing all the way to the bank. Let me know if you do get your money back. I wish you luck.

  5. I’m so thankful that I found your comments. I e-mailed the jobseekers@businesslinksite.co.uk and have had return e-mails from Russell James.

I had an e-mail today saying I have been accepted and please confirm but was still concerned about the £20 I am expected to pay upfront.

I started surfing then, to find any more info on scams and read that no legitimate company would ask for money upfront, especially without interviewing you so that they know it is you doing the training and not someone else. And on finding this website and your comments, I will definitely not be proceeding.
Thank you for taking the time to write your experiences and stopping someone else falling victim.

  6. I applied for this job, but the second I read that I had to pay a £20 payment fee, I realised it was a fake. You should never have to pay for a job or the training involved.

  7. I very nearly fell for this scam myself! Things started to sound fishy when asked for a £20 fee, the website was ‘under construction’ and Russell James wouldn’t provide me with a contact number. His emails were also full of incorrect spellings and bad grammer and there was also no signature giving any busines details on the emails.
Thank goodness for this website confirming it’s a scam! I’ve emailed him saying never to contact me again!

  8. I too found this site in the nick of time. After going back to Russell James and telling that it is clear that the job offer is a scam, he sent me a rather long email giving the reasons for the £20 fee. He said that ‘time is money’ and that they had wasted time training people who the receive the training package and then do not go for the job. It covers their admin time apparently! He also said that by training, even if I decided that the job was not for me, I coul recoup my £20 by doing just the one assignment. It actually sounds very plausible but I don’t think I will be going for it. I’m sure it is a scam.

  9. I fully agree with everything that has been written so far. I applied for this job last week, in order to supplement my income. However, I noted that they are using a free “Wix” .com site to try and establish their credentials. If they were genuine and have been operating for a long time as implied in Russell James’ email, then they should have an established website and should have registered in Companies House as they are reportedly to be a Limited Company, which is not the case. That is why I shall not be responding to them and blocking their emails. Luckily, I did not make any payments and shall not do so.
This is a big Fat SCAM!!!!

  10. Be careful of this ‘fake’ advertisement for data entry clerk job as I found it on ‘Trovit Jobs’ , contact: Russell James , when I tried to call the number it was engaged for hours. Don’t know how the job got to be advertised through ‘Trovit Jobs’. Jesse. March 2015.

  11. Thank You all for your valuable comments. Saved in time. He is still operating under the same name Russell James. The job has been advertised on Jobrapido. Feel very annoyed, dont want to trust these recruitment sites too.
