  3. We at rmoov understand that link removal requests are time consuming and that our customers are trying to get hundreds of thousands of links removed from thousands of sites. The one thing that people fail to understand is that we wrote rmoov for both people that are trying to get links removed AND for you, the webmaster, receiving the links. I know that it is easy to get upset at being asked to do this work for free but did you know you can do something to slow down the email avalanche and even remove links without any input from you?

We offer a free webmaster portal for people that are receiving link removal requests. All you have to do is claim your domain, update it with how you want to be contacted (you can even say don’t contact me), we even have an API so you can auto delete links if you want.

We want to make things better. If you have any questions please email us at support at rmoov dot com.

    • Apparently your database is being exploited. We have been receiving a series of requests to remove comments and posts regarding scams.

Perhaps need to re-evaluate and access how one utilize the free service is making available to the public to avoid tarnishing noble goal.

      • We would like to look into this deeper and see what is going on if you can give me 1 url example and the domain they want removed, we can trace it back to the rmoov customer, the letter they are using, and find out what issues are going on.

  4. Hi,

Thanks so much for sending these examples through for us to take a look at.

We checked on all of the three example emails you provided and have found that only one of these has been sent via rmoov.

The owner of is definitely a rmoov customer, but neither of the other domains is owned by a rmoov customer and there are no link removal campaigns for those target domains active in our system.

It appears from the footer of the other two emails that they have been sent by someone utilizing an external mailing list provider (YPLM). We do not use such lists to provide contact information for our customers.

rmoov allows users to access WhoIs information via the Domain Tools database where it is available. All additional or alternative information loaded for any linking root domain in rmoov is found or provided by the customer from whatever sources they may have access to.

It seems that our customer may have requested removal of the links from your site because they have made a mistake in the link analysis process. I can see that the links in question are originating from your “Related Links” section and are unlikely to be identified as unnatural by Google. Unfortunately we do see instances of links being misclassified when people use Algorithmic analysis tools to try to determine which links are unnatural. We know these tools are far from perfect and recommend that our customers do manual analysis before adding their list of URLs to rmoov. Unfortunately there are many people who are feeling overwhelmed by the process and choose to use those types of tools to speed up the process. It is quite possible that one of these tools has misclassified the link based on the words included in your domain.

If you would prefer not to receive link removal requests from rmoov customers (or to require them to contact you through a specific email address or contact URL) you can create a free Publisher+API account and claim your domain. Once you have set your contact preferences in our system they will be set permanently for every one of our customers.

We also provide a WordPress plugin for Publishers so you can remove every comment pointing to the requester’s domain from your site with a single click if requested through our system. This is particularly useful if you have people asking you to remove spammy comments they have placed and your site is built on WordPress. In fact, you can also use the template in your Publisher account to respond to non-rmoov users that they can set up a free link removal account and lodge their request through rmoov to make life easier for you.

We are doing everything we can to try to make the workload easier for the people at both ends of the link removal request, because we understand that it is difficult for everyone.

If you are ever concerned about the behavior of any of our rmoov clients, we would appreciate you letting us know. While the vast majority of the issues we see are caused by inexperience or genuine mistakes, there are still people out there who are willing to test the bounds of decency and we want to make sure that they are not using rmoov to make others lives difficult.

Thanks again for sharing this information with us.

  5. You guys SUCK — and keep on SPAMMING me with link removal crap. In the USA we are allowed to post our OPINION and it is OUR RIGHT! You WILL NEVER get me to force one of my client sites to remove and HONEST TRUTHFUL OPINION, Now go back under your rocks in Mumbai or whereever the hell your third world ass is at, or forever suffer the wrath of us using everything we can do to bring down your servers daily.. We are legion, we NEVER forget!

    Gonna Inject your servers daily

We are sorry to have to send you this email
During the past 24 hours we discovered that one of our subscribers has used our service to send a number of inappropriate “Cease and Desist” letters to webmasters such as yourself.

On reading the content of one of these letters which was provided to us by a recipient, we immediately launched an investigation into the conduct of the subscriber responsible for the letters. The subscriber in question is associated with the domains and

Upon investigation we were dismayed to find that the subscriber had sent these unhelpful letters of demand to a large number of webmasters and may also have been sending mail from multiple campaigns in order to work around rmoov’s built-in limit on frequency of mailings.

On determining that this subscriber has conducted themselves in such an unacceptable manner, we immediately shut down all of their mailing campaigns and cancelled their rmoov subscription.

We just wanted to contact you to let you know that we will always respond expeditiously to notices of claimed manipulation or abuse of the rmoov service and terminate users or account holders who are found to be “repeat infringers” against our terms of service. We do our best at all times to conduct ourselves in a friendly and respectful manner and expect all of our subscribers to do the same.

We will also be making a change to our system which will ensure that no custom email text will become live in future unless first vetted by our staff. We are doing this so that we can be sure you will never again be confronted with the type of unacceptable correspondence you received from the subscriber in question.

We also want to make it clear that we obtained your email address from the terminated subscriber account for the express purpose of advising you of our response to this problem and you have not been added to any permanent mailing list. Should you receive any future mailings from a rmoov subscriber that would be the result of that person expressly adding your domain contact information to an outreach campaign because they wish to contact you in person*.

Please accept our apology for any distress the behavior of this former subscriber may have caused and we invite you to contact us if there is ever anything that we can do to be of help in the future.

    with our Best regards,

    Heath & Sha
