He sent me $1800 and I am trying to send it back but he keeps trying to get me to send it to a woman named “ANA” who he claims is his “boss”, even though he owns his own business…
And now he’s making death threats to me, and about my family!!! He is a crazy ass! He threatened me saying his wife was a sheriff for west palm beach, considering i don’t even live in florida, but they were contacting the local sheriff authorities and the FBI was coming to get me… its even more entertaining because I’ve gone to the local police and shown them these death threats over my email.
WHO the hell does that?! and then he’s like I will forgive you just please work for me I need you to send checks out to more people, please, work for me still. He is bipolar.
Criminals….. There are many of them online posting employment ads and have websites dedicated to finding unsuspecting victims.

Oh my gosh! BEWARE! I responded to a job posting for a personal assistant the last week in January. I immediately received an e-mail from an individual that claimed he worked in the clothing industry and was wanting to employ a personal assistant. When I read the email since it did not ask for my SSN, I gave him the info requested. On 02/01/2011, I received from UPS an envelope with a check for $1860.00. I knew no one should be sending me that kind of check, so I immediately called the bank number on the check, the number was disconnected. Then I began to research and found this was another scam. Please, Please tell us what to do to keep from be criminally involved with these heartless individuals. I responded to another one of the ads and when I read it, I knew it was a scam because of the wording and the out of town at this time info. I plan on contacting some organization that can track these imposters. We have to take action when these people attempt to involve innocent individuals in their fradulent acts. Please tell me who to contact in order to further pursue criminal charges and actions against them.
The scam below is right in line with the others. This one was found on Craig’s list Milwaukee. I Replied to an add “RE: Admin Sports & Entertainment Marketing Company” and received back the response below about a day later. As you read through it the key words from many posts are used here too. “Impromptu, Realtor/Lawyer, Out of country, running personal errands.

I got the one with the mark guy only his last name was Daniels and he’s a Realtor/lawyer… well I also found the same posting on Craigslist with the same exact information and only his name was robert now… Very fishy… Why wouldn’t anyone wanna hire us… we are so good at finding their scams out lol

I’m so thankful I found this site & confirmed my suspicions! I even emailed him questioning how he got my email & about his real estate company & his art gallery asking if there was any proof he could give me & he replied back with:

I’m Mark Stache, 45 yrs of age, originally from Sydney, Australia, but I have spent a whole lot here in United State. I’m a lawyer by profession and I have been pretty successful in a handful of ventures I get involved in; both in Canada and United State including various welfare and community service programs, I most very often get my hands occupied, so it is imperative for me to have a worthy assistant who can monitor and keep me up to date with my activities. However, I’m presently in Canada for a summit and shall be spending 2 weeks here before getting back to the states.
As my assistant, your activities amongst other things will include.
*Running personal errands, supervisions and monitoring.
*Scheduling programmes, flights and keeping me up to date with them.
*Acting as an alternative telephone correspondence when I’m away.
*Making regular contacts and drop-offs on my behalf.
*Handling and monitoring some of my administrative files and financial activities.
Basic wage is $500 a week
This position is home-based and flexible, working with me is basically about instructions and following them, my only fear is that I may come at you impromptu sometimes, so I need someone who can be able to meet up with my irregular timings. There is also a very sensitive issue on trust and accountability which I believe will resolve itself as time goes on. Please note that this position is not office based for now because of my frequent travels and tight schedules, it’s a part-time, work from home basis and the flexibility means that there will be busier weeks than others, so it’s a little difficult judging the exact number of hours you’ll be doing per week. If you can manage your time properly, this job may even give you some extra while you do something else on the side. As I have said, I’d want us to get a head start with things as soon as possible. I do have a pile up of work and a number of unattended chores which you can immediately assist me with, I hope we can meet up with the workload eventually.

So I googled the name Dr. Mattew Gates, I don’t know why, I assume it’s an alias, but I new the email was fraud because it was too general for someone who had “recieved my resume” and also he has quite a few spelling mistakes, what Dr./ respectable employee does not spell check? anyways, his name came up and led me to this site. I have also reported his fraudulance to CL.
