I received a job offer from a company called Fecunda Group Inc. They found me on hotjobs.com. The job is for a payment processor. When I received the email yesterday it seemed too good to be true – base salary of $2300 for the first month, benefits after that, but no real information. When I Googled the company, I came up with NOTHING. Not a hint, a website, a yellow pages entry, nothing. But supposedly it’s a large IT company. So I emailed back and just basically said I was wary of the information as I couldn’t find a website. Today I get an email back with, surprise!, a website and lots of information on the job. Fecunda Group Inc. From the website it appears legitimate, company address, etc, but it still doesn’t sit right with me. You receive payments to your personal bank account and then have to wire transfer the money back out the same day. Like I said, base salary of $2300, plus 8% commission for each transfer, out of which the transfer fees are paid. No up front investment from me. My concern is this sounds like a money laundering scheme – if you need immediate transfer, which they continually stress on the website, why wouldn’t you just use PayPal or standard well known transfer services. When I run a whois search on the domain I just get an error from a Turkish domain company saying the servers are overloaded.

Does anyone know anything about Fecunda Group, Inc and if this is something I’m safe to do?

    Thanks!
