Subject: TotalJobs

Arena Financial Group Pty. Ltd.
350 Charman Rd, Cheltenham,
VIC, 3192, Australia.

my name is Michael Nguyen and I am Arena Financial Group Hiring manager. We have found your CV at TotalJobs jobs board and decided to offer this job to you.

Our services
When buying-selling operations via the Internet are concerned, the buyer and the seller don’t know each other (they may be placed in different corners of the world) – it is very important both to the buyer and the seller for their deal to be made safely. Payment Protection means receiving money, documents, goods (it might be both the seller’s and the buyer’s) concerning the transaction to a reliable, experienced, impartial person – our Payment Protection agent. The agent will hold all the documents and money until all the terms of the deal are satisfied and only then release them to the intended receiver. Please, visit our web-site for more information. (

Why we need Payment Protection agents
Having a Payment Protection agent in every country we can quickly transfer funds inside a country without wasting time on the international bank transfers, and continue our rapid growth rather than overwhelming our own bank account with inbound and outbound transactions leading to severe hold times and possible service interruption. It is time that is of significant importance to our clients.

Career and Benefits
Your main task will be receiving money transactions to any bank account you would like to use for the purposes of this job; and then forwarding these transactions to the next party of the Payment Protection process according to our instructions. You will benefit from the commissions, which are 5-7% of each transaction and depend on the quantity of the completed transactions and the speed of your work. Besides, you will be paid a basic salary of 1700 EUR per month.

For your convenience there will be no paychecks, your commission will remain in your account after every successfully completed transaction. The money transfer fee is not included in your commission, meaning that you will deduct it from the received amount, not from your commission. Also you receive 5-7% of the transaction amount. Normally the amounts that we process vary from 2,000 EUR to 10,000 EUR, but can go higher on special occasions.

Job details
As the financial activity in your area is not too high, a Payment Protection agent will be processing approximately 1-2 transactions per week. Each transaction requires approximately 4-5 hours of the agent work. Our manager always calls the agent beforehand to provide all the instructions. Therefore, with the due time management, the agent is able to combine this job with other activities (e.g. primary job or studies).

If you are ready to proceed, please provide your AVAILABLE phone number to our hiring manager (Paul Marsden) at

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you need more information.

Sincerely yours,
Michael Nguyen,
Arena Financial Group Pty. Ltd.

Seems like has a leaking corner, those guys from ‘morana’ dug it up – and sent me exactly same scam – I’m just being concerned about totaljobs and security of the info I left with rater than these scams – as thanks to google and site like this one – scams are no longer posing too much of danger. So what about totaljobs then – can they improve something, as this may get annoying after so much scam coming down thanks to their website – at the end of the day – we are the clients of totaljobs and they should take care of our info…

There’s obviously a lot of people that have received the same scam email. Working in the financial industry myself thought it too good to be true. I investigated further where i hit upon this blog. My initial thoughts were money laundering. There will I’m sure be people out there that will take the bait…..don’t do it!!!

  3. Alan says:

I received this offer 2 days ago too! the scoundrells! £1500 a month plus commision sounded very very tempting! I hope not too many people are falling for this! I could imagine alot of people even though they no its not right, are still doing the laundering hoping to get away with it!

shame it wasnt a real job offer though! im also with total jobs!

Best of luck with the job hunting guys!

Thnak you very much guys. I have my CV with Total Jobs UK and this appeared in my Junk mail box this morning (Sat 5th Sept 09), I immediatly got suspicious and you’ve confirmed what I suspected. Keep up the good work. I think this deserves a nice email to Total Jobs.

  5. ruth jones says:

    Hi guys

I have just had this e.mail sent to my boyfriend (cos he was out of work) and had registered his CV on Total Jobs. On trawling through all the junk that comes in, this apparently escaped my Scam mail (most unusual), but can I just say a big thank you for showing that this is the biggest fraud that I have come across. I think somebody higher up in authority should get in touch with these guys and for a better word F–k them off the internet for good – what do you say ???

Thanks a lot for this, much appreciated

    Love from the UK

    Ruth x

  6. Ben says:

I have recieved this same e-mail today 4th september 2009, it looked the biz but it didn’t add up as it came to me via my junk filter. The fact that i have my cv logged with total jobs here in the uk made me think that is was ligetimate company but as has been said it doesn’t add up that big companies would use such middle men for these transactions with all the security procedures in place in the modern business world.

thanks for the post that confirmed my suspensions

  7. Mike (Cabbie) says:

I recieved this offer 2 days ago but luckily saw through it, it just didn´t add up so I didn´t follow it through, thankfully someone has now put out this alert.

    Nice one guys

Finance is a very vital issue for a country. Especially in America who became the mainstream of world trade. Financial situation in countries affected by many things, one of the country’s security. Thank you for this useful news.

  10. Terence Wood says:

I have just recieved the above Arena Financial Groups e-mail in Spain where I live, which given the large amount of regular scam mail I recieve, made me search out the company through the Australian finance register (not there!)
but given that I had left my CV with Total Jobs in the UK, had a real feeling of being genuine. This is one of the better scams out there! BEWARE
