I receives Notification and a check for $4,795.00 stating I had won $250,000.00, Stating NOT to attempt to use the check until you call. The No. to call was 1-905-782-1715

The check was from PRIME- PLUS INC., 355 Centre Drive, Bronx, Ny 10474. The letter had member : Better Business Bureau stamped on it. Sweepstakes drawn in the UK which was orgaized by Fidelity international, slidecircuir awards and Heineken Promotions in conjunction with (F.S.P.).

The give away was Mass mailing Address sticker(to me) and them wainting me toPay taxes up front.

This company with the same address and phone number also has sent checks

I recieved a letter and a check in the mail from AER Financial Trust. They told me that I had won a sweepstakes($125,000.00)and that they had sent me a check for $4850.00 to pay taxes with. I googled the name on the check and I called this company. They told me that this check was phonie and that they were very sorry. I offered to help them if I could. I googled AER Financial Trust and comfirmed that this was a scam and how to report it.

For the past three weeks, this number has come up on my call minder…720-377-9293. It’s a scam call centre I’ve traced to Connecticut. This scam has been going on now for a number of years, and it’s the same old song. They will offer to work with the banks to lower the interest rate on your credit card. The only way they work with the banks is to get your credit card money and steal from your account. The above number is not a real number, so U.S. phone companies are complicit in this and every other scam emanating from the land of the bull, uh, gutless. The phone companies, or the government, must put a stop to these pathetic little worms by not allowing them to use phony numbers. Now being a Canadian, i’m reasonably intelligent, so I haven’t fallen prey to these American yahoos who wouldn’t be able to get a real jobif it hit them in the face on a windy night. At the moment, I’m working with our local police fraud squad to track down these scammers and put them out of business.If this number appears on your call minder, pick up your receiver and hang up.They will call you every day after that, so be prepared for a long haul. If you happen to be taken in by these creeps, call your credit card company immediately, and tell them you didn’t authorize the debit. Stay vigilant. Put your name on the Do Not Call List. Don’t answer any calls from the U.S unless it’s your uncle Harry and you recognize his number.

I too am Shawnee in Ohio and not sure if there is any connection or luck of the draw but I am waiting for Bank Of Nevada to verify The Check and the customer are both in good standing. They said I won $250,00.00 sent a check of $4,550.00 to pay the government service tax and the tax amount is $4,000.00 US Dollars. My local County Sheriff advised me to contact the bank the check is drawn on to verify all the info. and report back to them , I will update soon.

Instructions were for me to call a number and that all procedures were to be kept confidential in order to avoid fraudulent claims. All the names I searched on the Web I found, but to some variety of differences. Then I search Royal Trust Financial, International Finance Department and found that someone else in Virginia had rec’d such a letter and check and that it was a RIPOFF.
